What are printables?

A printable is a PDF file/JPG/PNG with a pre-made professional design that can be edited online and downloaded for a small fee.

How does it work?

The process of ordering and customising your wedding or event stationery is a really simple process.

What is Templett?

Templett is an online editor that allows you to personalize your templates without installing any fonts or software. You can open Templett in any internet window (works best in Chrome), edit, and download print your wedding templates in minutes - saving you money along the way. 

I'm not sure if it is for me, can I try it out before buying it?

Yes, I offer DEMO templates on all of my products except envelope liners.

The demo templates are listed within the template description under the “Try the Free Demo” heading.

Do the templates expire?

No, my templates do not expire, and are yours to use for personal use only.

PURCHASING AND AFTER-CARE

How are the templates delivered?

Your templates will be delivered to you via a direct email to your email address used at checkout from Templett.com.

Please allow up to 10 minutes to receive the access link email. Generally, the email is sent within just a few minutes though.

How many times can I download & print the templates?

Once purchased, they are yours to print as many times as you’d like! (Personal use only and not to be re-distributed).

What can I edit on the templates?

Everything is editable. Where not applicable, it will be listed within the specific template description.

You can easily edit the text – change the font, size, edit, move, change colour and delete all the text boxes, if required. You can also add your own images easily.

The easiest way to see what is editable and how easy it is, is to try out the demo link provided within the template description.

Can I save my work and come back to it at a later stage?

Once you have purchased your template and clicked the access link to Templett, you may edit and save the template as many times as you wish.

If you are trying out one of the DEMO templates, these are not printable and cannot be saved. You will need to purchase the item to enable these features.

Remember to save your work before exiting the template.

SOFTWARE & USE

Do the templates work on PC/MAC computers?

The templates work great on both PC and MAC computers. This MUST be done on a computer, not a mobile phone or iPad.

Please make sure that all edits to your template are made in your browser and you save as you go along.

Do I need special software to edit & print my templates?

Nope! No special programs are needed, only your web browser and all fonts are embedded into the templates. Easy peasy 🙂

Do I need to install any fonts?

The templates have the required fonts already embedded within them and do not require you to install any fonts.

You will also have access to my entire range of fonts, simply click on the font name in the editing toolbar to try it out.

I don't have a computer, can I edit on my phone/tablet/ipad?

To avoid any formatting/ printing issues, my templates must be edited on a computer.

PRINTING

Should I print at home or at a print shop?

Printing at home: 

Consider the quality of your home printer, how many items you are looking to print and if the printable uses a lot of ink (e.g. picture save the dates will use more ink etc).Make sure to check what the maximum paper thickness is for your printer model – this can be found on your printer manual or by Googling your printer. Paper that is too thick could jam and damage print heads. Templates that are 8.5″ x 11″/A4 and smaller are recommended to be printed at home. Whereas larger paper sizes are best suited to be printed at a copy shop with larger printers.

Printing using a local copy or print shop:

If you want to skip the hassle of printing and cutting in large batches, or if you have larger print sizes to print –  a local copy or print shop such as FedEx Kinkos, Staples or Office Max are a great option. They offer printing and cutting at a very reasonable price. If you are printing signage, I recommend ordering designs with foam-ex backing to keep it rigid.

Where can I print if I do not want to print my templates at home?

• Zazzle (Worldwide): allows you the freedom to upload your template to their site and select your printing size, paper/ card stock and can be transferred to other items, like magnets for example. ➤ Shop templates here
• For local printing and cutting, we do recommend FedEx Kinkos, Staples, Office Max or a local print shop as they do a nice job for a very reasonable price. If using FedEx Kinkos, please know that they may require a copyright release form prior to printing, a link to this is provided within your editing instruction document with your purchase.

What type of paper/ cardstock should I use?

I recommend using the templates on at least 100 – 150 GSM card stock – regular copy tends to be too flimsy.

Print shops offer many types of card stocks to choose from. If printing at a local copy shop, ask to see one item printed to make sure that the colours and materials are to your liking.

If you are ordering from an online printer, request for their sample pack prior to ordering your stationery to have a good look a the various paper textures. I personally print stationery on 300 gsm cardstock and I use Tintoretto Gesso and Laid luxury paper stock. This may differ based on your local printer, ask them for their recommendations.

TROUBLESHOOTING

I haven't received my access link

You will receive your access link directly from Templett.com within 10 minutes after your purchase. If you cannot find it, please check your junk email folder.

I can't find the editing instructions

The editing instructions are emailed to you in the thank you email directly after purchase and are available within the Templett design window.

My text cuts off at the bottom when I download my file

This can happen if font is too big for the text box but it is a quick and easy fix.

Simply click at the end of the word/ sentence that is being cut off and press "enter" / "command" on your toolbar. This should make the text box bigger and correct your problem.

I can't resize my template

Users currently aren't able to edit the template sizes that are purchased.

If you need a bigger or smaller size added in your design, please send us an email at danielle@makemedigital.shop and we will be happy to help!

I can't add a back page to my sign template

Due to file size, any templates above 10 x 10 inches become single page templates.

Please get in touch if you need another page added.

Help! I've lost my logins

PRINTING YOUR TEMPLATES

Hooray! Thank you for choosing one of our editable templates. If you thought editing the templates was simple, printing is just as easy.

1. Print Your Templates at Home

This option is perfect for printing templates on 8 ½ x 11” paper or smaller. 

This method comes with several benefits:

- Costs are lower because the cost of ink for an inkjet printer is less, 

- You can reprint your templates as many times as you wish. 

- If you are more of a DIY bride, your templates can easily be paired with other embellishments like twine or ribbon to suit your style.

- You do not need to wait for delivery or third parties, once your templates are edited and printed. It is instant.

2. Print Your Templates at a Print Shop of your choice

This option is the best method because printing companies know everything that there is to know about printing. 

This method comes with several benefits:

- The printing quality is excellent.

- You can order samples of your template to test colours, card stock quality and sizes that you prefer.

- You don't need to worry about trimming because they do all of that for you.

- They can print all of your templates from details cards to large signs.

IMPORTANT TO REMEMBER:

Some print shops are online and allow you to upload your designs to their websites directly and deliver your prints to you. Copy shops are similar to print shops except there usually are staff with less printing experience and you may need to provide them with as much information as possible to get your templates printed. 

3. Make Use Of One Of Our Printing Partners

We work with two printing companies that allow you to easily upload our templates to their sites for print. 

This method comes with several benefits:

- Our templates are tailored to suit their card stock sizes that they offer.

- Designs can be transferred onto other items using their template technology. Enclosure cards can be transferred to wine bottle labels, invitations can be transferred to magnets for example.
